Bihar The state’s first oxygen park will be built in Gopalganj. This park will be built in the historic Thawe forest of Gopalganj district. It has been started by the Forest Department on the Amrit Festival of Independence. The historic Thawe Durga temple is already a center of attraction for the devotees. The lush green forest around it presents a panoramic view for the visitors. The historic Thawe Durga Temple, where tourists from all over the country visit here throughout the year, is going to be Bihar’s first oxygen park for tourists in this forest.

Tourists will get plenty of oxygen

It is being developed by the Forest Department under the Nagar Van Yojana. Regional Chief Conservator of Forests AK Dwivedi informed that many types of parks will be made in Nagar Van, it will have an oxygen park. He told that its basic purpose is that if tourists come here, they can get maximum oxygen. Dwivedi says that this park will not be an ordinary park, but on the lines of Periyar University in Salem, Tamil Nadu, there is a preparation to plant a special variety of bamboo plants. This forest, spread over an area of ​​12.63 hectares at Thawe, six kilometers from the district headquarters, attracts tourists from all over the country throughout the year.

Here, Forest Divisional Officer Ram Sundar M told that bamboo plants of Bhima species will be planted in the oxygen park to be built in Thawe. When these plants become trees, people will be able to get oxygen from it. The specialty of Bhima bamboo tree is that it provides 35 percent more oxygen than other trees. Also, they remain healthy for a long time. People will get oxygen from this tree as well as the atmosphere will also be pure. Apart from this, a Butterfly Park will be built here, which will be a special park for butterflies. Butterflies will indicate climate and will entice tourists.

It is worth mentioning that on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav organized on the occasion of 75th year of Independence, Forest Department has identified 75 cities across the country under Nagar Van Yojana. Which will prove to be very beneficial for people in a disaster like Corona. Forest department officials say that this park will help in the conservation and promotion of biodiversity and will also improve the health of the walkers with plenty of oxygen. This will also attract tourists coming for worship at Thave temple.
