Jaipur. A 45-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men in front of her husband in Rajasthan’s Sirohi district. Police gave this information.
It is alleged that four people who entered the house with the intention of theft gang-raped the woman. Police have arrested three accused. According to the police, the incident happened on Wednesday. But due to the shock, the couple did not come out of the house on Thursday. After this decided to approach the police and on Friday reached the local police station to register the case.
Taking action in the case, the police arrested three accused on Saturday and the fourth accused is also being searched. Pindwara Deputy Superintendent of Police Jethu Singh said that the woman’s husband works as a watchman. On Wednesday night, when both were preparing to sleep, four people forcibly entered their house and took them hostage.
According to the officer, she got her husband stripped and took out Rs 1,400 from his pocket. He inquired about more cash and other valuables in the house but the couple had nothing but some silver jewellery. When they did not get anything more than this, they took turns raping the woman in front of her husband.
The officer said that as soon as the information was received in the police station, the police swung into action and the policemen of different police stations started trying to identify and trace the accused. The accused were quickly identified and three of them were arrested on Saturday, he said. Our team is looking for the fourth accused and he too will be caught soon. (Language)
