IPL 2022 Auction: Auction halted as auctioneer Hugh Adams got injured during the event

In an unfortunate incident, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auctioneer Hugh Adams collapsed on the stage and proceedings came to a standstill. The reason behind Edmunds is not yet known, and soon after, there were calls for medics to investigate Hugh. The auctioneer collapsed when bids were on for Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga. Suresh Raina, Steve Smith and Shakib Al Hasan were among the high-profile names that did not sell in the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction on Saturday. However, these three names will appear in the auction again and they may find bidders in the quick part of the auction. Auction of these players

KKR bought Nitish Rana for Rs 8 crore while West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 8.75 crore. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan remained unsold as none of the franchises showed interest in him. India batsman Manish Pandey was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 4.6 crore. West Indies left-handed batsman Shimron Hetmyer was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 8.5 crore. India batsman Robin Uthappa was bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Rs 2 crore. England opener Jason Roy was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 2 crore. Proteas player David Miller went unsold in the auction as there were no buyers for him, however, he could be picked in the quick auction which will take place later.

India opener Devdutt Padikkal was sold by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 7.75 crore, while Suresh Raina and Steve Smith did not sell in the auction. West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 4.4 crore. Earlier in the auction, India’s opener Shikhar Dhawan was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 5 crore. Australia’s Test captain Pat Cummins was picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs 7.25 crore. Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 9.25 crore. Kiwi pacer Trent Boult bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 8 crore. Shreyas Iyer was bought by KKR for Rs 12.25 crore. India’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 6.25 crore. South African batsman Faf du Plessis was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 7 crore.
