International conference on combating terrorism from tomorrow, PM Modi will inaugurate

New Delhi. A two-day international ministerial conference will begin on Friday in Delhi to discuss ways to combat terrorism financing. Representatives of 75 countries and international organizations will participate in it. An officer gave this information.

The Ministry of Home Affairs will host the ‘No Money for Terrorism: Ministerial Conference on Combating Terrorism Financing’ on November 18-19. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders will participate in it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can inaugurate the conference.

The conference discussed global trends in terrorism and terrorist financing, formal and informal sources of funding for terrorism, such as the use of ‘hawala’ or ‘hundi’ networks, emerging technologies and challenges in combating terrorist financing and terrorism financing. Various topics such as international cooperation to solve the problem will be discussed.

The Union Home Ministry last week said the Modi government was following a policy of zero tolerance to terrorism and would convey to the international community India’s resolve in its fight against this menace.

The third ministerial conference on ‘No Money for Terrorism’ (NMFT) will be held on November 18-19 in Delhi. According to the ministry, the purpose of this conference is to take forward the discussions among the international community on the subject of combating the financing of terrorism in the previous two conferences held in Paris (2018) and Melbourne (2019).
