Global Investors Meet: Basavaraj Bommai The Government of Karnataka led by the Government of Karnataka is making all preparations to make the ‘Invest Karnataka 2022-Global Investors Meet’ a success. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this program on November 2. Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries Murugesh R. “It will be attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Ministers Smriti Irani, Bhagwant Khuba and Nitin Gadkari,” Nirani said at a press conference on Thursday.

The Global Investors Meet will be a platform to connect with industry leaders, innovators and policy makers from around the world to explore new growth prospects. This year’s meeting will focus on engaging intellectuals, political leaders and business leaders to formulate the development agenda.

Government’s focus on attracting investments from global players

Nirani said, “The Global Investors Meet will showcase a strong industrial-friendly ecosystem, attract investments from global players, and spread industrialization across the state. The state will see over Rs 5 lakh crore in investments through this event and 5 Lakhs of jobs are expected to be created.”

Karnataka is looking to partner with various business houses in India and across the world. “With the core themes of resilience, innovation, sustainability and equity, we are committed to setting Karnataka’s development agenda in line with global best practices and demonstrating our strong ability to ‘build for the world’,” he added.

Minister gave information

The minister said, “We have recently conducted international road shows in Japan, South Korea, USA and Europe and domestic road shows in Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Our aim is not only to get investments, but also to provide a platform to industry stalwarts. We are expecting over 5,000 global delegates to attend the meeting. It will be an opportunity to connect, collaborate and network with GIM global leaders with contemporary themes.” A total of 50,000 acres of land has been earmarked for the Global Investors Meet – 20,000 acres in Bengaluru and 30,000 acres across the state.
