Prayagraj. A child and 04 women were tragically killed in a horrific road accident on Thursday morning in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while condoling the loss of lives in this accident has directed the district administration to make immediate arrangements for the treatment of the injured.
According to the police, the incident took place at around 7 am today near Handia Toll Plaza on Varanasi Road in Prayagraj. A Tavera car going in the direction of it went uncontrollably and collided with an electric pole. Five people including 04 women and 1 child died in the accident, while 05 others were seriously injured. The police team of Handia police station reached the spot and after starting the relief and rescue operation, the injured were sent to the hospital.
All the people in the car were going from village Sarai Lal Shivgarh police station Soraon district Prayagraj to visit Vindhyachal. The deceased include Rekha wife Sanjay Agrahari age 45 years, Rekha wife Ramesh age 32 years, Krishna Devi wife late Shyamlal age 70 years, Kavita wife late Dinesh age 36 years and Kumari Ojas age 01.
Chief Minister Yogi has expressed deep grief over the loss of life in this road accident. Wishing peace to the departed soul, he expressed condolences to the bereaved families. The Chief Minister has directed the district administration officials for their proper treatment by immediately taking the injured to the hospital. He also prayed for speedy recovery of the injured. Along with this, the District Magistrate and senior police officers have been instructed to go to the spot and get relief work done on a war footing. (talk)
