Government will remove the limit on airfares

New Delhi, In the midst of the Corona epidemic, the ban imposed on the fare of air tickets will be removed. The central government has decided to remove it from August 31. After this, now the airlines will be able to fix their own fare. There will be no compulsion on them to keep the maximum rent and how much the minimum rent will be kept. At the time of Corona, the government had fixed the maximum and minimum fare limit.

Now the government is going to give freedom to the airlines as before to decide what fare should be charged from the passengers. The central government has decided to do away with the airfare limits imposed when the corona pandemic started. Airlines were complaining of huge losses due to this arrangement. But some companies also say that after removing the ceiling of maximum and minimum, they can give big discounts on fares to lure passengers.

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said in a tweet on Wednesday – The decision to remove the cap on airfares has been taken after analyzing the daily demand and prices of air turbine fuel. He has written – Stability has started coming and we are confident that the region is ready for increased domestic traffic in the near future.
