India Tour of West Indies: The venues of the India-West Indies (IND vs WI) matches to be held in February have been changed due to the increasing corona cases in the country every day. A series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches is to be played between the two countries. All these matches were earlier scheduled to be held at different venues but now it will be held at only 2 venues.

BCCI has decided that all three matches of ODI series against West Indies will be played in Ahmedabad and all 3 matches of T20 series will be played in Kolkata. The board says that this decision has been taken to reduce the risk of corona infection to the players and staff of both the teams, match officials, broadcasters.

Schedule of India-West Indies series
The first ODI between India and West Indies will be played on 6 February. The second ODI will be held on 9 February and the third ODI will be held on 11 February. All three ODIs will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After this, there will be a 3-match T20 series between the two teams. The first T20 will be held on February 16, the second on February 18 and the third on February 20. All these T20 matches will be played at the Eden Gardens ground in Kolkata.

Team India will be announced soon for both the series against West Indies
Team India is currently on South Africa tour. The tour will end on 23 January. Only after this, Team India will be announced for the upcoming series. In limited overs matches, Team India’s captain Rohit Sharma can return to the field from the series against West Indies. His injury has almost healed. In a report quoting BCCI sources, it was also said that Rohit is recovering fast from injury and he will be fully fit before the home series against West Indies.
