Desperate people of superpower

In recent years, the situation has become like this, In which the people of America have become less proud of being the resident of the world’s major superpower. Especially this happened after Donald Trump became President.

America will celebrate its Independence Day today i.e. on July 4. America is a superpower. But in recent years, the situation has become such, in which the pride of the people there about being the resident of the world’s major superpower has decreased. Especially this happened after Donald Trump became President. Right now, there is an atmosphere of despair in the country due to record inflation, political tension, and intensifying social polarization. This was expressed in an opinion poll report released on the occasion of Independence Day. It came to the fore that the feeling of pride among the Americans for their country has declined sharply. Survey agency Gallup has released this report. Gallup releases one such survey report every year before Independence Day since 2001. According to this time’s report, only 38 percent of Americans said that they take great pride in their country. In the last 20 years, the average number of people feeling proud has been 55 per cent.

Clearly this time the number of people expressing such opinion has come down significantly. Right now, abortion rights remain the biggest issue of tension in America. On June 24, the Supreme Court overturned a 49-year-old decision that had legalized abortion. However, Gallup’s survey was done before this decision was made. The survey was conducted from June 1 to 20. However, that was definitely the period when there were incidents of firing in many places in America, in which dozens of people were killed. Such incidents create despair in any society. Meanwhile, another such decision of the Supreme Court has come, which will take this mood more serious. The court last week significantly limited the authority of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) to issue carbon emissions reduction orders. A major obstacle has arisen in taking steps to stop climate change. Clearly, this decision will further increase resentment in the Liberal camp.
