On the other hand, 70 percent of leading academic economists believe that the US will hit a recession next year. According to the Federal Reserve, GDP is projected to grow by 1.7 percent from the fourth quarter of 2021 to the fourth quarter of 2022. Which was estimated to be 2.8 percent in March.
