CEOs around the world believe, there will be a severe recession in the next one to one and a half years

According to a survey conducted by the Conference Board, there will be a severe slowdown in the next 12 to 18 months.

At present, inflation is increasing in countries around the world including India. Meanwhile, according to a survey, more than 60 percent of the world’s chief executive officers (CEOs) believe that the next 12 to 18 months will see a severe recession. Sixty-five percent of CEOs believe that the sector in which their company operates is already in recession. 750 CEOs participated in this survey.

Let us tell you that according to a survey conducted by the Conference Board, GDP growth in the Eurozone has been seen so far, but the important question is whether this growth will continue. “The purchasing power of the people is decreasing due to rising inflation,” the report said. On the other hand, the war in Ukraine is having an adverse effect on the supply of goods. Both of these factors are likely to lead to a slowdown.

Meanwhile, the prospect of a recession in the United States has increased. According to Bank of America Global Research, there is a 40 percent chance of a recession in the US next year. On the other hand, 70 percent of leading academic economists believe that the US will hit a recession next year. According to the Federal Reserve, GDP is projected to grow by 1.7 percent from the fourth quarter of 2021 to the fourth quarter of 2022. Which was estimated to be 2.8 percent in March.
