Congress observer will submit report to Sonia

Jaipur. Party observers who came to Jaipur for the Congress Legislature Party meeting will submit their report on the current political developments in the state to party President Sonia Gandhi on Monday. Maken told reporters that Mallikarjun Kharge and I are going back to Delhi and we will submit our full report to the Congress President.

Ajay Maken called many Congress MLAs not attending the legislature party meeting as indiscipline. He said that when an official meeting of the legislature party has been called and if someone convenes an unofficial meeting parallel to the same, it is prima facie ‘indiscipline’. Makene said that we will see what action is taken on this.

It is worth mentioning that the Congress Legislature Party meeting was to be held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday night, but before that, MLAs who are considered loyal to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot held a meeting at Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal’s bungalow and then they met with the Speaker of the Assembly Dr. CP Joshi. On reaching his residence, he handed over his resignation. At the same time, Kharge, Maken, Gehlot, Congress state unit president Govind Singh Dotasra, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and some other MLAs waited in the Chief Minister’s residence till late in the night and due to the absence of the rest of the MLAs, the meeting of the legislature party would not finally be held.
