Announcement of Punjab Government, family will get compensation of 1 crore on death of policeman while on duty

Chandigarh | Punjab Police: The Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has taken a big decision for the Punjab policemen. CM Mann has decided to give a compensation amount of Rs 1 crore to the family of the police employees who die in the line of duty. It is worth noting that the police have the biggest and most important contribution in maintaining the internal security in the country. In such a situation, the policemen of the state also put their lives on the line for the security of the state and for their duty.

Police Welfare Fund increased from 10 crores to 15 crores
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann gave this information in a virtual meeting of Punjab Police officers and employees. Apart from this, another gift was announced to the Punjab Police. In which the Police Welfare Fund has been increased from Rs 10 crore to Rs 15 crore from this financial year for the welfare of Punjab Police.

Instruction of humility with people and harshness with criminals
Along with this, CM Mann assured the police officers that there would be no interference in the functioning of the police in the state and asked the police employees to perform their duty with full devotion, dedication and honesty. He exhorted the police to behave politely with the people and act without any bias for the safety of the people. Along with this, instructions were also given to not take any consideration against gangsters, drugs, terrorism, illegal mining and corruption.
