Ranbir, Alia Bhatt and Ayan had left Mumbai together to offer prayers at the Mahakaleshwar temple. The trio was welcomed by political activists in Ujjain, who did not allow the actors to attend the aarti (prayer) at the temple. Only Ayan could be seen taking blessings inside the temple as the protesters allegedly started a fight with the police personnel to block Alia and Ranbir’s entry inside the temple.
In 2011, while promoting his film Rockstar, Ranbir said that he likes to eat beef. “My family is from Peshawar, so a lot of Peshawari food has come with them. I am a fan of Mutton, Paya and Beef. Yes, I’m a huge fan of beef,” he had said. Old video resurfaced ahead of Brahmastra’s release
Ujjain CSP Om Prakash Mishra said that the protesters started assaulting the police officers. He told news agency ANI, “We were making arrangements as some VIPs were about to go to the Mahakaleshwar temple. During this some people started gathering here in protest against them. One of the protesters started assaulting the police officers.” It has taken almost a decade to make Brahmastra and five years to make. Apart from Ranbir, the film also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.
