Agneepath scheme is popular?

It has received a record 7,49,899 applications for the 2022 batch. The government side has considered this as a proof of the popularity of this scheme. But is it true?

Indian Air Force invites applications of Agniveers for recruitment under Agneepath scheme. It has received a record 7,49,899 applications for the 2022 batch. The government side has considered this as a proof of the popularity of this scheme. But is it true? In recent years, there have been reports in which it has been told that somewhere lakhs of applications have come for the post of peon or sweeper. So would it be assumed that the popularity of those posts is increasing? Or, is this a proof of the increasing unemployment in the country, in which the youth are eager to do any work on any condition? The application process for the Indian Air Force was completed on July 5. The Air Force has said in its tweet that it has received a total of 7,49,899 applications under the Agniveer scheme, which is much more than the maximum number of applications in any recruitment cycle till 6,31,528. Now all the applicants who have applied for the job in Air Force will be called to appear in the selection test.

According to the Air Force Agniveer-Vayu calendar, the exam is scheduled to be held from July 25. Selected candidates will be called for PSL round on 1st December. The selection of the candidates will be announced on December 11. The Air Force will recruit 3,500 Agniveervayu for 2022. Agniveers who are recruited in the army under the Agneepath scheme will be recruited for only four years. 75% Agniveers will be decommissioned and a maximum of 25% Agniveers will be recruited into the Army. Meanwhile, the Army has also issued the notification of Agniveer Recruitment Rally. In the Navy also, applications are going on for the recruitment of Agniveers under this scheme. It can be estimated that there will also be a record number of applications. Now it is on their own understanding that people should consider it as the popularity of the scheme, or link it with the deteriorating employment situation in the country. It must be remembered that as soon as the Agneepath scheme was announced, the youth had strongly opposed it.
