According to Guinness World Records, Orthman was born on April 19, 1922 in the small Brazilian town of Brusc. Walter was very good at reading from the beginning. His brain power was very sharp and he was concentrated in any work. At the age of 15, he started working to support his family financially. Walter was hired by the textile company Industries Reynolds on January 17, 1938. This company is now known as Renox View. He was soon promoted and became a sales manager. Since then he has been the Sales Manager in the company. For the past 84 years, he has worked for a company that holds the Guinness World Record for the longest time in a company.

Walter Orthman, 100, of Brazil holds the world record for the longest tenure in a company. He has been in the same company for 84 years. His achievement is recorded in the Guinness World Records. Walter said it was a proud moment for him. Walter says of this “I’ve always thought about the present, so I made history. I don’t plan to think about tomorrow. All I can think about is that tomorrow will be a new day in which I’ll wake up, exercise.” And go to work. You should be busy in the present, not the past and the future. Last week he celebrated his 100th birthday with friends, family and co-workers.
