4 killed in Ladakh road accident

Srinagar. Four people died in a road accident in Ladakh on Wednesday. Police said that a Thar jeep skidded off the road and fell into a gorge about 150 feet deep near Khardungla Pass in Ladakh. Jeep still not found. Four tourists from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh (three from Delhi and one from UP) died in this accident. The road condition had become slippery due to snowfall on Tuesday.

Efforts are on to trace the vehicle. All the four bodies were taken to their native states. Police said the deceased were identified as Muhammad Firoz, Reyaz Ahmed and Azam Khan, all residents of New Delhi and Zeeshan Taufiq of Moradabad UP. . (IANS)
