Woman gang-raped in Delhi

New Delhi. A woman was allegedly gang-raped by three men in a hotel room in North-West Delhi’s Adarsh ​​Nagar area. Police said that Ajay (39), Tara Chand (34) and Naresh (38), residents of Alwar in Rajasthan, were arrested.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (North-West) Usha Rangnani said that the PCR (Police Control Room) of Adarsh ​​Nagar police station received a call on Sunday to inform about the incident.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, the woman told that she was called by one of her acquaintances, Ajay, to a hotel room on Sunday, where two of her friends were also present. He made the woman drink some intoxicant mixed in the ‘cold drink’ due to which she fainted. Thereafter, the trio allegedly raped the woman.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that based on the woman’s statement and the ‘Medico-Legal Case’ (MLC) report, sections 376D (gang rape), 377 (unnatural offence) and 328 (injury by giving poison etc. with intent to commit offence) of the Indian Penal Code. A case has been registered under Adarsh ​​Nagar police station. Police said the crime team has collected samples from the hotel and investigation is on in the matter. (Language )
