Hockey News: Sord Morin, who was the coach of the women’s hockey team during the Tokyo Olympics, has not yet been paid her due salary. They have not even received the incentive amount of Rs 25 lakh given to them by the UP government. This report was recently published by a newspaper. Now the answer of Sports Authority of India (SAI) has come in this matter.

Sai says Morin’s salary was withheld after Hockey India’s recommendation as he has not yet returned the official laptop or submitted a ‘No Objection Letter’ (NOC). Hockey India has said in this regard that due to Morin not returning the laptop, Hockey India did not issue NOC to him. In such a situation, Sai has the right to stop the outstanding salary of the former coach.

Hockey India also said that Marin’s remarks on pending salaries were a malicious attempt to project a bad image of the Indian sports administration. Hockey India also claimed that the coach owes only USD 1,800 in salary. Hockey India Secretary General Rajinder Singh said through a press release that the laptop contains the necessary data of Indian players. If Marin does not return the laptop, strict action will be taken against him.

However, talking to a newspaper, Morin has said that due to the breakdown of the laptop, he could not return it. He has given the laptop for repairing and soon the laptop will reach Hockey India. It is worth noting that the Indian women’s hockey team came fourth in the Tokyo Olympics under the leadership of Marin. This was the best performance of the women’s hockey team so far in the Olympics. After this Marin’s tenure was over and he became the coach of Tilburg, a club in the Netherlands.
