Western Railway: These rules started in Corona era canceled, will be able to travel on unreserved ticket from July 1

This arrangement was stopped due to the Corona period, after the end of the lockdown, the operation of trains started, then the compulsion to travel on reserved tickets in general coach also came into force.

About 23 million people travel by train daily in the country, in this episode, Indian Railways provides adequate facilities keeping in mind the convenience of its passengers. In such a situation, Indian Western Railway is restarting a special service. Many rules have changed during the Corona period. One of these was traveling on an unreserved ticket. In view of the health of the people during the Corona period, travels on general travel or unreserved tickets were banned. Now Western Railway has taken a big decision on this.

According to the information, from the beginning of this month i.e. from July 1, the facility of traveling on unreserved tickets in general coaches of all trains has been started. Railways is going to repeal this rule started in the Corona period and now there will be no need to make reservation in general coach. In all trains, without reservation stations and automatic ticket vending machines, you will be able to travel directly by taking general tickets.

According to the information, the time limit of the pre-reserved seats in the general coach of all trains is coming to an end, that is, there will be no penalty for traveling in the general coach by taking an unreserved ticket. This arrangement was stopped due to the Corona period, after the end of the lockdown, the operation of trains started, then the compulsion to travel on reserved tickets in the general coach also came into force. Due to this the passengers were facing problems. According to Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of Mail/Express trains leaving Western Railway in which second class seating coaches (2S coaches) are being unreserved from 1st July, 2022. Further, keeping in view the above, season ticket holders in non-suburban section are permitted to travel only in unreserved coaches of specified Mail/Express trains. If any season ticket holder passenger is found traveling in non-specified mail/express trains, he/she will be treated as without ticket and will be charged as per extant rules in this regard.

Recently, the Railway Board had issued an order asking for the general ticketing system to be implemented in trains, but then the problem came to the fore that due to the advance reservation time limit being 120 days, people already had reserved tickets for the days ahead. Now this period is coming to an end. Journey will start on general ticket in all trains running from West Central Railway. Almost all trains started operating after the Corona period. Till now, the facility of travel is being given to the passengers on the reservation ticket only. At present, the revenue of the Railways has increased due to the introduction of general ticket in some trains, but now when the general ticket will be started in all the trains, then the revenue will definitely increase.
