T20 World Cup: Pakistan captain Babar Azam has made the record of making the fastest 2500 runs in T20 cricket. He achieved this feat as soon as he completed his 32nd run against Australia in the T20 World Cup semi-final match. Before him, this record was in the name of Virat Kohli. Babar played 62 innings to reach here, while Kohli had to play 68 innings to reach here. After these two Asian players, Aaron Finch of Australia and Martin Guptill of New Zealand comes in the list of fastest to complete 2500 runs. Finch completed 78 innings and Guptill completed 2500 runs in 83 innings.

Babar Azam scored 39 runs for Pakistan in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. With this, now he has got 2507 runs in 62 innings of 68 matches of T20 cricket. He has scored these runs at an average of 48 and strike rate of 130. He has one century and 24 half-centuries to his name in T20. At the same time, Virat Kohli is the highest run scorer in T20. He has scored 3222 runs in 87 innings of 95 matches. In T20, he averages 52 runs and strike rate is 137.
