Visa Scam Case: CBI arrested Bhaskar Raman, close aide of Karti Chidambaram.
New Delhi | Visa Scam Case : Congress leader Karti Chidambaram’s troubles are not taking the name of lessening. The CBI has arrested S Bhaskar Raman, a close aide of Karti P Chidambaram. Yesterday, the CBI team raided several locations of Karti P Chidambaram, after which late night CBI arrested Karti Chidambaram’s close aide S Bhaskar Raman in the visa scam case. According to the information, this case is also related to the visa scam. The CBI team interrogated Bhaskar late at night, after which Raman was arrested. The CBI registered a case against Karti Chidambaram for investigating an allegation made 11 years ago. He was accused of helping 263 Chinese citizens get visas for the electricity company.

Visa Scam Case : An FIR was registered against Karti Chidambaram regarding the visa issue and then for the investigation, the CBI team raided 10 places in several cities of Delhi and Chennai simultaneously. Raids were also conducted at Karti Chidambaram’s father P Chidambaram’s house. The allegation against him was that in 2011, he had helped Chinese citizens by taking a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to get them visas. At that time P Chidambaram was the Union Home Minister and Karti Chidambaram took advantage of this.
CBI got such evidence
Visa Scam Case : The CBI said that this evidence was found against Karti Chidambaram when he was investigating the INX Media case. After that he started investigation. CBI officials said that in July-August 2011, 263 Chinese nationals got visas for the Talwandi Sabo power project, due to which Karti had received a bribe of Rs 50 lakh. In the investigation, the CBI found some evidence of suspicious transactions of Rs 50 lakh in the hard drive of Bhaskararaman’s computer. The CBI registered the case and took its action on it.

Visa Scam Case : CBI spokesperson RC Joshi told that the project was running behind its schedule. In such a situation, the company was going to be fined. Karti Chidambaram was trying to get more and more Chinese people in his company to avoid fines. It is alleged that he needed even more visas. He had asked for a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to get the visa from the maximum limit set by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
