Virender Sachdeva became the working president of Delhi Pradesh BJP, got the responsibility after the resignation of Adesh Gupta

New Delhi. Taking responsibility for the defeat of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, Delhi Pradesh BJP President Adesh Gupta has resigned from his post and State Vice President Virendra Sachdeva has been appointed as the State Working President.

BJP national general secretary Arun Singh told here on Sunday that party chief Jagat Prakash Nadda has accepted Mr. Gupta’s resignation and state BJP vice-president Virender Sachdeva has been appointed as working state president.

This appointment has come into force with immediate effect. The BJP, which has been ruling for 15 years, fell short of a majority with 103 seats, while Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party managed to win more than 135 seats in the elections held on December 4 for 250 seats in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
