One such case has come to light from Bettiah district of Bihar, where a widowed woman fell in love with her own cousin. The love between the two flourished in such a way that now they started living with each other. When his family members came to know about this, a panchayat was called against him. A decree was issued to appear in the panchayat with the intention of punishing both of them. But both went straight to the police station instead of the panchayat and started pleading for security there. The police intervened in the matter and provided security to both of them, along with calling the panchayat started trying to end the dispute.

Strange Case In Bihar : It has been told that the husband of the widowed woman had died 1 year ago. A few days after the husband’s last rites were performed, the family members sent the woman back. Since then the woman was living in her ancestral house. While living there, she fell in love with her aunt’s son and a physical relationship was also established between the two. As love blossomed between the two, both of them started living together. Along with this, both have also applied for marriage in the court. When the family members came to know about this, they started opposing it and together they called the Panchayat.

Strange Case In Bihar : The police intervened and tried to convince both the parties. Police say that marriage is done on its own volition and no adult can be pressured for this. The same couple says that such marriages have been recognized in other religions, so if needed, we are ready to change our religion. The same family members say that our rites do not allow this, in such a situation these two cannot be allowed to unite. At present, the police has provided security to the loving couples.
