UP Election 2022: These 47 seats can turn, know how

In the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the eyes of all the parties will be on those seats where the margin of victory and defeat was very less votes last time.

The election bugle has sounded in five states including Uttar Pradesh. The eyes of the whole country are especially on the Uttar Pradesh elections. The UP elections will be held in 7 phases and the results will be out on March 10. Talking about the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP had got the maximum 312 seats, while the Samajwadi Party was reduced to just 47 seats. Wherein BSP got 19 seats and Congress got 7 seats.

In the last assembly elections, BJP had an alliance with Apna Dal(S) and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party. Apna Dal (S) got 9 seats and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party got 4 seats. In this way, the BJP alliance had won a total of 325 seats and the government was formed in the state. However, this time the situation is different and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party is in alliance with SP.

47 seats can prove to be kingmaker: If we look at the last election of Uttar Pradesh, we will find that there were 47 assembly constituencies where the margin of victory and defeat was less than 5000 votes. These seats can prove to be very important for political parties in the 2022 assembly elections and from the point of view of elections. Of these 47 seats, BJP won 23, Samajwadi Party 13 and BSP 8. At the same time, Apna Dal (S), Congress and RLD also got 1 seat each.

The victory-loss margin in 8 seats was less than 1000: Similarly, the margin of victory in 8 seats in the last election was less than 1000 votes. Out of these, BJP won Dumariaganj, Meerapur, Rampur Maniharan, Mohammadabad Gohana (SC) and Shravasti seats. Whereas BSP got Mant and Mubarakpur and Samajwadi Party got victory in Mohanlalganj seat.

On the other hand, the margin of victory and defeat in 9 seats was between 1000 and 2000 votes. In these seats, BJP won Bhadohi, Tanda, Mahmudabad and Bharthana seats. BJP’s ally Apna Dal (S) won the Duddhi seat. While Samajwadi Party won Matera, Bansdih and Unchahar seats and BSP won Patti seats.

Similarly, the margin of victory in 10 seats was between 2000 and 3000 votes. In these seats, BJP won Gainsari, Kanth, Farenda and Badlapur seats. Samajwadi Party won Najibabad, Atraulia and Kannauj seats. Whereas BSP had won in Sidhauli, Lalganj and Pratappur seats.

The margin of victory and defeat in 12 seats was between 3000 and 4000 votes. In these seats, BJP won Moradabad Nagar, Amla, Dhaurhara, Maholi, Patiali and Bidhuna seats. The political picture changed due to the changing of the tide: This time many MLAs have also changed sides. For example, MLA from Nakur seat Dharampal Singh Saini has now joined the Samajwadi Party. At the same time, MLA from Dhaurhara seat, Bala Awasthi has also joined the Samajwadi Party. In the coming assembly elections, when 15 crore 93 lakh voters of Uttar Pradesh will give their decision, then these 47 seats will also be very important among them.

Whichever party wins more seats in these 47 seats can be easier for them to form the government. However, the decision of who will win on these 47 seats will be known only on the coming March 10.
