Important meeting of legislature party at Gehlot’s residence

Jaipur. An important meeting of the Congress Legislature Party in Rajasthan will be held on Sunday evening at the residence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Jaipur. In this, there is a possibility of discussion about the change of leadership in the state after announcing that he will contest the election of the party president.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has appointed Mallikarjun Kharge as observer along with Ajay Maken, general secretary in-charge of Rajasthan. He will attend the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Congress’ Rajasthan unit leaders said the meeting would make it clear whether the observers were coming to give a message to the high command in the name of the new chief minister or whether they were visiting to seek the opinion of the legislators on the next chief minister.

He said that if a proposal is presented by the MLAs in the meeting that whatever decision the high command takes, they will accept it, then the name of the next Chief Minister will be almost decided. Party sources said on the basis of deliberations and deliberations in the CLP meeting, observers will decide whether to announce the final decision on Sunday or make any information public after reaching New Delhi.
