Chamoli. The doors of Hemkund Sahib located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand were closed on Monday for winter this year. Their preparations were completed by Hemkund Sahib Gurdwara Management. Govindghat Gurdwara Prabandhak Sewa Singh said that the preparations for closing the doors had been completed.
According to tradition, the process of closing the doors was started at 10 am on Monday in Hemkund Sahib. Sukhmani Sahib was recited from 10 am to 11.15 am. After which Shabd Kirtan was organized for 30 minutes at 12 o’clock. In the afternoon, at 1.30 pm, the last Ardas of this year was done in the Gurudwara and the Huknama was read. After this, the Guru Granth Sahib was seated in the true section under the leadership of the Panch Pyaras and the doors of Hemkund Sahib were closed for the winter. (IANS)
