Many veteran leaders and ministers of UP BJP have not been able to save their seats. Just as CM Pushkar Singh Dhami lost power in Uttarakhand, in the same way BJP came in UP, but many ministers lost their power. These include Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya in the Yogi government.

UP Assembly Elections 2022: In the Yogi government in UP, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has been defeated by Dr. Pallavi Patel of Samajwadi Party in Sirathu by 7,337 votes. In such a situation, even the BJP wave could not save Maurya and Apna Dal’s national vice-president Pallavi Patel hit a check on the spot.

CM Yogi got disappointed with these ministers
The ruling BJP may have got a thumping majority in Uttar Pradesh, but 11 ministers in power have had to face defeat. Many ministers of the Yogi government were defeated by the candidates of the Samajwadi Party and snatched their power. Apart from UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Sugarcane Minister Suresh Rana lost the Thanabhavan seat to Ashraf Ali Khan of the SP-backed Rashtriya Lok Dal. Minister of State Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar defeated Ataur Rahman of SP from Bahedi seat of Bareilly and Rural Development Minister Rajendra Pratap Singh lost to Ram Singh from Patti assembly seat of Pratapgarh.

Apart from this, Minister of State Chandrika Prasad Upadhyay has to face defeat from Anil Kumar in Chitrakoot seat. SP’s Usha Maurya defeated BJP minister Ranvendra Singh Dhunni from Fatehpur’s Hussainganj seat and Pradeep Kumar Yadav, Minister of State, Lakhan Singh Rajput from Dibiyapur seat of Auraiya.

Mata Prasad Pandey of Samajwadi Party slammed Basic Education Minister Satish Chandra Dwivedi in Etawa seat of Siddharthnagar, while Minister of State Sangeeta Balwant lost to Jaikishan of Samajwadi Party in Ghazipur seat. Similarly, Minister of State Anand Swaroop Shukla has lost from Jaiprakash circle in Bairia seat and Sports Minister Upendra Tiwari Sangram Singh has lost from Phephna seat of Ballia district.
