The very next day i.e. on September 22, a 53-year-old man from Gurgaon was fitted with that liver in the same hospital. A week later i.e. on September 28, that person also had an intracranial hemorrhage. On October 5, a 53-year-old man also died. His family members also donated major organs including liver.

In view of the increasing cases of liver related problems in the country, there is a long waiting list for the transplantation in the hospital. But this case was completely different from the other. In this case, the liver had already been transplanted once, no one wanted to get this liver implanted. After this, according to Max Hospital in Saket, Delhi, 21 patients of the same blood group were waiting for liver transplant. But no one was ready for this lever except one.

No problem for new patient

Eventually, on October 6, the same liver was transplanted to a 54-year-old man, who had already been transplanted once. In fact, re-transplanting an organ that has already been transplanted to someone else increases the risk of its rejection. Therefore, the next few days are going to be very important for the patient who has been fitted with the liver. In this case, the person who first got the liver transplant, like the donor, died due to bleeding from the brain. That is to say, till now the cause of death of the two patients in whose body this liver was put was the same. That is why now monitoring of this new patient is very important. But the good thing is that till now the patient has not faced any kind of problem. If this case is successful, then it will be a completely new case of its kind in the country, which will open a new path in medical science.
