The fifth match of the Ashes series will not be played in Perth due to Corona restrictions

According to the board, the fifth match of this historic series will no longer be played in Perth. Due to Corona (Covid-19) strict restrictions have been imposed in the city and due to this it is not possible to have a match here. At present, the board has not named the new venue, but it is expected that this match will be played in Melbourne or Hobart. A decision on this will be taken next week.

For the past several months, efforts were being made by Cricket Australia and the Western Australia Cricket Association to organize this match in Perth itself, but due to Quarantine and Border Control rules, this could not happen. Cricket Australia said, “We are disappointed that the fans will not be able to watch this match of the Ashes series at the new stadium in Perth.”
