Tanot Mata Temple: Free land allotted to BSF for tourism facilities

Jaisalmer. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has allotted land free of cost to the Border Security Force (BSF) for tourism expansion in Tanot Mata Temple area in Jaisalmer. Various construction works will be done by BSF now for expansion of tourism facilities.

With this approval of Gehlot, tourists will be able to visit the temple as well as learn about the weapons, local art and culture and glorious history of the army in the Interpretation Center to be built here. Apart from this, a glimpse of the visits made by prominent personalities of the country and abroad along with the bravery of the army will also be seen in the picture gallery.

It is notable that the Chief Minister has approved the proposal for allotment of 02.19 bigha land free of cost under Section 102 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act-1956 in village Tanot of Sum Tehsil. The maintenance of Tanot Mata Temple is done by BSF. Over the years, this place has become a center of attraction for tourists.
