PM Modi chairs the meeting of CSIR Society

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired the meeting of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Society. Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and CSIR Director General Dr N Kalaiselvi, besides Principal Scientific Adviser to the government Ajay Sood also attended the meeting. . The Chairman cum Managing Directors of some Public Sector Enterprises also participated in the meeting.

The Prime Minister is the President of the CSIR Society. It is the apex body of the Society Council which usually meets once in a year. The tenure of the society is three years. It was formed in the year 2019. In this meeting, the work of the organization is reviewed and future programs are discussed. (Language)
