Government’s big decision on Chardham Yatra

Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, while directing the officials said that a pilgrim should be allowed to visit Chardham only once in a year to conduct the Chardham Yatra as per the capacity. It is noteworthy that the winter Chardham Yatra was started in 2014. At the same time, he directed to develop the guest house of the Public Works Department for the tourists.

Taking a review meeting in the auditorium of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council (UTDB) located at Garhi Cantt on Friday, Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that after the closure of the gates of Gangotri Dham, Mukhba, Kharsali of Yamunotri, Ukhimath of Kedarnath and Joshimath of Badrinath Dham. For this, all facilities are being taken care of for the pilgrims and devotees in the winter migration of Chardham.

For this, the facility of registration for Chardham Yatra should be linked with Aadhar card. Apart from this, with special attention to cleanliness in tourist accommodation houses, hotels across the state should be categorized so that tourists can choose hotels accordingly. Along with this, on the lines of Baba Amarnath, the pilgrims of the country and the world will be able to visit the Timbersain Mahadev in the Niti Valley of Uttarakhand, for this, instructions have also been given for publicity. ,IANS)
