Dhami sacks officer accused of corruption

Dehradun. Another major decision has been taken in Uttarakhand on the instructions of Pushkar Singh Dhami, the head of the state working under the zero tolerance policy. Suspended state tax officer Anil Kumar has been dismissed from services.

While stationed at Asharodi, the mobile team unit, a complaint was made on the CM portal for seeking and accepting bribe from a vehicle of Haryana number which was coming to Dehradun with goods. The investigation of the case was handed over to Joint Commissioner Ajay Kumar.

On being found guilty in the investigation, after handing over the charge sheet to Anil Kumar, the letter of dismissal from the service was sent to the government, taking a decision on which the government has decided to sack the disputed officer. (IANS)
