Now the focus is on ‘Blue’ color

It is natural for people to go through ups and downs during the two days of IPL 2022 auction. However, the good thing is that we had a team meeting on Monday (February 14) and now the focus is on the ‘blue’ colour. For the next two weeks we will all focus on giving our best for India. Everybody is professional and they understand it….Rohit Sharma told media during a virtual conference on Tuesday (February 15). Rohit is coming on the back of a 3-0 ODI whitewash of the Windies – India’s first against the men of the Caribbean. They will try to maintain the same momentum in the T20 series as well. The captain is taking a full-time lead in T20 cricket in his second back-to-back series against New Zealand last year. The captain said that there is no thought on IPL within Team India right now.

No idea on IPL for team yet (auction is finished)

There is no thought on IPL for the team yet. Players may come to different positions for their respective IPL franchises, but the point is to identify the right players for the right position by 2022, the T20 World Cup in Australia. Rohit said IPL we will take care later. People have been spoken to and they have clarity on what roles they are expected to play. After the T20 series against the West Indies, the series against Sri Lanka will be important for India ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 to be held in Australia in October later this year. The idea is to identify the players who are going to play in the T20 World Cup. We will also look at creating a back-up. We have a busy schedule and injuries can happen. We have to make full use of both these series. ( auction is finished )
