Lucknow. SP founder and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was cremated in his native village Saifai. On Wednesday, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav collected and donated the ashes of his father. He said that today for the first time it felt like it grew in the morning without the sun.
After the funeral of SP founder and former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday, the purification ceremony was held at Saifai Kothi on Wednesday. Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Prateek Yadav, Shivpal Singh Yadav, Abhayram Singh Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav, Tej Pratap Singh Yadav were present in this. Akhilesh reached the funeral site in the morning and collected the ashes of his father. Akhilesh had darshan of father’s pyre on Wednesday. During this he was looking very serious. His family and village people were present with him. He said that he was saddened by the passing of his father. He said that today for the first time it felt that the morning grew without the sun.
All the family members are gathered at the house itself and there is an atmosphere of mourning. People are reaching the house to express their condolences. Entire Saifai is in mourning and people have not opened shops since morning. People are discussing about Mulayam Singh all around. (IANS)
