‘Mumbai Ya Trinidad’: Rohit Sharma Proves He Is King Of Humor With Witty Instagram Post

THE SECOND Test between India and West Indies ended in a tame draw after Day 5 was washed out due to rain. India needed 8 wickets to win the second Test but play on Day 5 could not start as rain continued to lash the city. The loss meant that India slipped to second position in the World Test Championship points table.

Meanwhile, India captain Rohit Sharma shared a cryptic Instagram post and drew similarities between Mumbai and Trinidad. Rohit added a photo of him Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli with drops of rain falling in the background. Rohit captioned the post ‘Mumbai Ya Trinidad’, comparing the rainy seasons of the two cities.

Rohit Sharma had a good Test series with the bat. He scored 103 in the first Test and backed it up with 80 in the second Test. Rohit was also pleased with how team India played in the series.

“Every win is different. Playing in WI has its own challenges. Happy with the way things went. We gave it a good shot, unfortunately, we couldn’t get any play today. We actually went out with a positive intent yesterday,” he said after the 2nd Test ended in a draw.

Rohit Sharma said that the team was confident of winning the second Test had rain not interfered.

“Rain had its final say. We were quite confident. You know how difficult it is batting last. We always wanted that kind of score where we wanted the opposition to go for it. There wasn’t much on the surface. No play today, unfortunate for us,” he said.
