Shivraj said on Singhar case, law will take its course

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the law takes its own course on the rape case registered against senior Congress MLA Umang Singhar, who was a minister in the previous Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh. We will neither save anyone nor trap anyone. Chouhan said that he does not talk about any particular person. The law takes its course, neither will we save anyone nor implicate anyone, but it is the duty of the police to investigate and take necessary action if there is a complaint. He said that someone said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is doing all this.

He was surprised to hear this. If a victim is saying something, then it is the duty of the police to listen and investigate. The Chief Minister said that the government does not interfere in all this. The law takes its course. A woman claiming to be his wife has lodged an FIR against Congress MLA Umang Singhar from Gandhwani in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district under rape and other criminal sections at Naogaon police station in Dhar district. On the complaint of the woman, an FIR was registered late on Sunday evening. According to the FIR, Singhar physically and mentally abused the woman on the pretext of marriage. Singhar has alleged that the woman demanded money from him and was threatening to ruin his political future. In this connection, he has also given a written complaint to the police on November 2.
