Check-out game in Delhi: Appeal to contribute to the salary of yoga teachers

New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday released a WhatsApp number for people to contribute towards the salaries of yoga teachers of the ‘Delhi Ki Yogshala’ programme.

At a press conference here, Kejriwal alleged that Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena (VK Saxena) and BJP are ‘ruining lives’ of Delhiites.

Kejriwal said that those who want to contribute to the salary of yoga teachers should send a message on the number 7277972779 and inform about how many yoga teachers they want to bear the cost. Yoga teachers get a salary of Rs 15,000 per month under the ‘Yogshala of Delhi’.

The Chief Minister said, whoever wants to help in paying the salary, can send a message to the number telling that they want to contribute for one or two teachers… Then we will give them the names of the teacher/s, so that they can directly check the teacher. Can hand over He said that the contribution towards salary should be in multiples of 15,000.

Accusing Lt Governor Saxena and the BJP of stalling the government’s steps, Kejriwal said, it was very painful when they stopped the yoga shala. About 17,000 people were going to those classes. He said that he will not pay the salary of yoga teachers. Who is stopping people from doing yoga? This is sin.

The AAP government had on November 1 claimed that the Lt Governor did not approve the ‘Delhi ki Yogshaala’ program after October 31, but added that the government would ensure that yoga classes continue. Sources in the Lt Governor’s Secretariat had said that Saxena’s office has not received any file requesting the continuation of the yoga shala after October 31. (Language)
