PM Modi will visit Nagpur tomorrow, security chalked out, deployment of 4000 policemen
Nagpur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Nagpur city of Maharashtra on Sunday. In view of which about 4,000 policemen will be deployed in the security system. Officials gave this information. He said that ahead of Modi’s visit, top police officers reviewed the security preparedness. According to officials, the police will inspect the yatra route on Saturday in the presence of Special Protection Group (SPG) personnel.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) issued a statement in New Delhi saying that during his visit to the second capital of Maharashtra, Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth Rs 75,000 crore. He will also flag off the Vande Bharat Express train running between Nagpur to Bilaspur and inaugurate the first phase of Nagpur Metro.
According to the statement, Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the second phase of Nagpur Metro. He will inaugurate the first phase of Samridhi Mahamarg connecting Nagpur and Shirdi and dedicate to the nation the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located in Mihan area of Nagpur.
According to the PMO, the Prime Minister will launch rail projects worth over Rs 1,500 crore at a public function in Vidarbha. According to the tentative itinerary shared by the local administration, the Prime Minister will reach Nagpur’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport from New Delhi at 9.40 am on Sunday and then proceed to the city’s railway station, where he will flag off the Vande Bharat Express.
As per the schedule, before leaving for Goa, Modi will participate in various programs organized in the city during the day. Officials said Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has finalized the security arrangements under which around 4,000 police personnel will be deployed. He said that Quick Reaction Team, Riot Control Police and Home Guard personnel would assist these policemen in maintaining security. Officials said around 1,000 policemen would be deployed in the AIIMS campus alone.
