Janet Brittin, Shaun Pollock and Jayawardene to be inducted into ICC Hall of Fame today

T20 World Cup 2021: Former Sri Lanka batsman Mahela Jayawardene, former South African all-rounder Shaun Pollock and former England batsman Janet Brittin will be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. The event will take place at the Dubai International Stadium ahead of the T20 World Cup final to be held today.

ICC Hall of Fame Sir Clive Lloyd will officially induct these three cricketers. The ICC Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of the great players of the cricket world. It was started in 2009. So far 106 players have been included in it.

Britten passed away in 2017. She was a key player of the England women’s Test team from 1979 to 1998. Jayawardene was part of the Sri Lankan team that won the T20 World Cup in 2014 and reached four other major ICC finals. Shaun Pollock is already included in the great all-rounder of cricket. He was the first player to complete the ‘double’ of scoring 3000 runs and taking 300 wickets in both Test and ODI cricket.
