Umran Malik Joins Team India in UAE: Jammu and Kashmir pacer Umran Malik has been named the net bowler of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup after making an impressive debut with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2021. As stated to reside in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

21-year-old Umran Malik, who played only two senior level domestic matches before the start of the second half of IPL 2021, has impressed Indian captain Virat Kohli so much that he has been called as the net bowler with Team India.

Umran has impressed many with his fast pace bowling this season. He was bowling consistently at a speed of 150 kmph. He also bowled the fastest ball of IPL at a speed of 153 kmph. A source close to the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise said, “Yes, Umran Malik is staying here as he will be joining the Indian team India’s bio-bubble as a net bowler.”

In his debut season of IPL, this fast bowler took two wickets in three matches. Even though his team remained at the last position in the points table. But Indian captain Kohli praised this fast bowler a lot. “This tournament brings forth talent every year. It’s good to see a player bowling at 150 kmph. It is important to understand the progress of the players from here,” Kohli said earlier this week.

Let us tell you that the T20 World Cup will start from October 17. However, the Indian team will start its campaign against Pakistan on 24 October in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Know who is Umran Malik

Born on November 1999 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Umran Malik made his domestic debut in January 2021. Right-arm fast bowler Umran has played one T20 and one List A match for Jammu and Kashmir so far. The 21-year-old fast bowler is already a part of the Hyderabad team as a net bowler. Malik took three wickets in his debut T20 match for Jammu and Kashmir.
