T20 World Cup 2022: Curtis Camper’s explosive innings, Ireland won the losing match

Ireland defeated Scotland by six wickets in the T20 World Cup 2022 with the explosive innings of Curtis Kampfer. With this win, Ireland has made the Group B battle more interesting. Scotland had set a target of 177 runs for Ireland to win, Ireland achieved the target with one over remaining.

Earlier, Scotland, batting after winning the toss, scored 176 for five in 20 overs. Michael Jones scored 86 runs in 55 balls. Captain Richie Berrington scored 37 runs in 27 balls. Matthew Cross scored 28 runs and Michael Leask scored 17 not out. Curtis Kanfer took two wickets for nine runs in two overs.

Chasing the target, Ireland’s team was struggling after losing four wickets for 61 runs in the 10th over, after which Curtis Camper and George Dockrell took the lead and batted vigorously. Both the batsmen put the match in Ireland’s lap by sharing an unbeaten century (119 runs) in the last 10 overs. Curtis Kanfer scored an unbeaten 72 off 32 balls. He hit seven fours and two sixes in his innings. At the same time, George Dockrell scored 39 runs (four fours, one six) in 27 balls.

Paul Stirling (08 runs), Andrey Balbirnie (14 runs), Lorcan Tucker (20 runs) and Harry Tector (14 runs) played for Ireland.
