Suspected terrorist caught in Delhi

National Investigation Agency, NIA has arrested a suspected terrorist linked to Islamic State. NIA arrested this suspected terrorist of Islamic State from Batla House area of ​​Delhi. It has been told that the name of the suspected terrorist is Mohsin Ahmed. He is a resident of Bihar. Mohsin has been said to be an active member of Islamic State for some time now.

An NIA spokesperson said that Mohsin Ahmed, originally from Patna in Bihar, was arrested by the search team on Saturday from his residence at Batla House. The spokesman said the NIA conducted searches at the residential premises of the accused and later arrested him in connection with the online and on-ground activities of Islamic State. It is being told that he was collecting donations for Islamic State.

Earlier, on June 25, the NIA had registered a case in this connection, taking cognizance itself. NIA spokesperson said- Ahmed is a radical and active member of ISIS. He has been arrested for his involvement in collecting funds for ISIS from sympathizers in India as well as abroad. NIA is probing the matter in detail.

During the raid, there is a danger of getting many objectionable documents from the house. It is being told that the students studying in Delhi’s Jamia Millia University had given information about Mohsin, on the basis of which the investigating agency took this action. According to the students of the university, he tried to influence many students with the ideology of Islamic State. Investigations have revealed that Mohsin was in contact with ISIS commanders based in Afghanistan and Syria and used to send funds to them through cryptocurrency. The investigating agency is now finding out who funded the transactions done through cryptocurrencies and hawala.
