The Indian pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy lost the first game, then won the second and third games to win the match. After this, the experienced Kindabi Srikanth played a key role in the victory. World No-11 Srikanth beat his higher-ranked Jonathan Christie 21-15, 23-21 in straight games. The match lasted 48 minutes. In the first singles, Lakshya Sen defeated Anthony Sinisuka Ginting 8-21, 21-17, 21-16. After that Lakshya made a spectacular comeback and won the second game. They won 21-17. After that, winning the third game also 21-16 gave India a 1-0 lead. Chirag Shetty and Satwik got defeated in the first game of doubles. Indonesia’s Mohamed Ahsan and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo won the game 21-18 in 17 minutes. Chirag Shetty and Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy made a comeback in the second game to beat the pair of Mohammad Ahsan and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo 23-21. After this, winning the third game 21-19 won the match.

The Chinese team, which has been participating in this tournament since 1982, has won 10 titles and Malaysia has won 5 titles. Japan and Denmark both have one title each. The Thomas Cup has always been won by Asian countries. Denmark was the first non-Asian team to win the title in 2016.
