Situation improving in Rajasthan
Jaipur/New Delhi, Six days after a Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal was slit to death in Rajasthan’s Udaipur, the situation in the entire state returned to near normalcy on Monday. Internet services have been restored and Udaipur city was also fully opened on Monday. The administration relaxed the curfew in Udaipur from 8 am to 8 pm i.e. for 12 hours and after six days the internet service has resumed.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat reached Kanhaiya Lal’s family members. Shekhawat met his son and wife and consoled him. Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat told the state government and police responsible for this massacre. Shekhawat said that even after the murder of Kanhaiya Lal, the police may have caught the accused, but by just catching the accused, the police cannot run away.
It is being told that former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and BJP State President Satish Poonia will also visit Kanhaiya’s family. Earlier, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had met the family members and assured all help. On the other hand, people took out a silent procession in Sikar on Monday as well. A large number of people including MP Sumedhanand Saraswati and religious leaders participated in the procession.
Meanwhile, it is reported that National Investigation Agency, NIA chief Dinkar Gupta met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday after taking over the probe into the murder of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur and the murder of a chemist in Amravati. According to the news of a news agency, this meeting took place in Amit Shah’s office. Nothing has been told about it officially but it is being said that there was discussion in this meeting about Kanhaiya Lal murder case.
