Sajjad Lone takes oath as President of People’s Conference

Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference Party leader Sajjad Lone took oath as the party’s president on Wednesday. The party gave this information in a statement issued on Wednesday. It was told in the statement that the party’s chairman election authority Basharat Bukhari administered the oath of office to Sajjad Lone as the president of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference. Sajjad Lone is the son of Abdul Ghani Lone, the founder of the People’s Conference. According to the statement, Lone was elected unopposed as the party’s president on November 2. ,

Quitting separatist politics, he contested the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from North Kashmir and won from Handwara in Kupwara district in 2014 and later became a minister in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-Bharatiya Janata Party alliance. Lone said that leadership has many definitions in different situations and in the present times, leadership means saving the people, saving the youth. At the same time, the leadership demands people to speak the truth. Lone said one of the easiest things in politics is to resort to lies and profanity and the most difficult thing is to speak the truth in the face of adversity.

He will try to speak the truth in the People’s Conference. Will lead with integrity and courage. Lone said that we will do everything possible to promote political inclusiveness and will work tirelessly to restore and reclaim the glorious political heritage of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
