DU postpones graduate admission till Wednesday

New Delhi. Delhi University (DU) has postponed the date of declaration of the first list of seat allotment till Wednesday. Officials gave this information. Earlier this list was to be released on Tuesday. Since, the Supreme Court will on Wednesday hear a petition against the order of the Delhi High Court regarding admissions by St. Stephens College of DU, accordingly the list will now be released on Wednesday.

It is noteworthy that a few days back the High Court had asked the college to follow the admission policy prepared by DU. According to this policy, for admission to non-minority students in undergraduate courses, 100 percent weightage will be given to the marks of the University Common Entrance Test (CUET) 2022.

The college, on its part, had said that it would give 85 percent weightage to CUET marks and 15 percent weightage to interview for all categories of candidates. As per the detailed schedule released by the university, the first seat allotment list was to be announced on October 18. The university will now release the list on October 19, Wednesday, an official said on Tuesday. Delhi University had started the admission process for over 70,000 seats in undergraduate courses last month. (Language)
