Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday changed the DP (Display Pictures) on his social media accounts. He has put a picture of the tricolor in his DP. Along with this, he has also appealed to the countrymen to wave the tricolor in their DP. To strengthen the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, Prime Minister Modi has changed his DP. Changing the DP on Facebook, PM Modi wrote, ‘Today August 2 is a special day. At a time when we are celebrating the elixir of freedom. Our country is ready for a mass movement like #HarGharTiranga. I have changed the DP on my social media page and request you all to do the same.

Let us tell you that in the 91st episode of his program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on July 31, PM Modi also inspired people to change their DP and wave the tricolor. He said that ‘Har Ghar Tricolor’ is being organized from 13 to 15 August under the Amrit Mahotsav. The Prime Minister further said that there is an appeal to the countrymen to hoist the tricolor in their homes. The tricolor unites us and inspires us to do something for the country. Similarly, from August 2 to 15, you can put the tricolor on your social media profile. This day is also associated with Pingali Venkaiah Naidu. Because August 2 means today is his birth anniversary.

As India completes 75 years of independence, the central government is running the program ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Under this ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is being run. Under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, the national flag will be hoisted for three consecutive days from August 13 to 15. The government has set a target of hoisting the tricolor at the homes of 20 crore people.
