Now MLAs will get only one pension in Punjab, big change of CM ‘Mann’

Chandigarh | One Pension in Punjab: While Yogi Adityanath of the BJP is going to take oath as the Chief Minister again in Uttar Pradesh today, after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, the new Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is continuously taking big decisions. Now, taking an important decision on the pension of MLAs, CM Bhagwant Mann has issued instructions that now the MLAs of the state will get only one pension. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to reduce the family pension of MLAs.

There will be a change in the formula for the pension of MLAs
One Pension in Punjab: Till now, as many times as an MLA was made in Punjab, his pension used to be made. But after the new decision of CM, now it will be made a pension. After the new decision of Punjab CM Mann, now the formula for pension to be given to Punjab MLAs will be changed.

In a tweet, CM Mann informed that, the pension formula of the MLAs of Punjab will be changed and the MLAs will now be eligible for only one pension. Thousands of crores of rupees which were being spent on MLA pension will now be used for the benefit of the people of Punjab. The CM said that due to the ongoing pension system, a lot of burden was being placed on the state exchequer.
