Noro Virus in Kerala: The highly contagious Norovirus, which has spread its feet in England amid the Coronavirus pandemic, has now knocked in India as well. The first case of norovirus has been confirmed in Wayanad, Kerala. The Kerala government has issued a warning saying that people need to be alert about the highly contagious Norovirus.
Symptoms of the rare norovirus infection were reported in 13 students of a veterinary college at Pukode near Vithiri in Wayanad district. Regarding the case of Norovirus infection, State Health Minister Veena George took stock of the situation in Wayanad by holding a meeting of all health officials and directed the officials to intensify efforts to contain the spread of Norovirus. After this, health officials issued a warning saying that there is nothing to worry about at the moment, but given the seriousness of the virus, all people should be especially cautious.
